July 9, 2012 5:32 PM

Harold O’Shea Builders recently started a renovation project at Angela Hall at Benedictine University at Springfield, 1500 N. 5th St. in Springfield.

The project includes upgrades to the science lab and restrooms, and the construction of a break room, meeting room, and new offices for the Campus Police and Athletic Department. In addition, a new fire alarm system will be installed.

Built in 1958, Angela Hall houses classrooms, a computer lab and state-of-the-art new science classroom/laboratory. The main floor has a smaller gymnasium used for intramurals, student functions and meetings. The college’s fitness center is located on the lower level.

Renovations are expected to be completed before the fall.
